Screw conveyors, is designed to transport large volumes of granular materials (such as powders, grains, and granules), semi-solids, from one location to another. They enhance operational efficiency by removing the need for manual handling of materials. The primary components of a screw conveyor include a rotating screw shaft housed within a trough. As the screw shaft turns, it moves the material in a linear direction. Screw conveyors can be configured for horizontal, or inclined transport paths.
